Kapitalbank and one of Germany’s largest banks, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW), have signed a USD 17 million credit agreement.
The agreement was signed during the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Riga, which brought together representatives of international financial institutions, businesses, and government organizations.
The agreement with LBBW reflects the expansion of Kapitalbank’s international funding sources. The funds raised will be used to support the foreign trade operations of the bank’s clients, enabling Uzbek companies to strengthen their positions in international markets.
“The signing of this agreement with LBBW confirms the high level of trust that international financial institutions place in Kapitalbank and in Uzbekistan’s banking sector as a whole. New funding sources will enable Uzbek businesses to implement international trade projects more actively,” said Sardor Ismailov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSCB Kapitalbank.
