Kapitalbank became the laureate of the I National Oltin Chinor Award for the ESG project “Needed Like Air”. The award ceremony was held on September 26, 2024, within the framework of the 4th International Forum “O’zbekistonlik. Toshkent”.
The joint project of Kapitalbank and the Uzum ecosystem “Needed like air” was selected by the Center for Progressive Reforms and the expert group of the consulting company CARE CSR, among the projects of leading companies operating in Uzbekistan.

Since the beginning of this year, as part of the “Needed like air” project, Kapitalbank, together with the national digital ecosystem Uzum, installed air quality sensors in 30 communities across the country, and the bank's employees also planted more than 35 thousand trees, supporting the “Yashil Makon” project.
— Together with our team, we are building the future, helping millions of Uzbeks invest and save, develop their businesses, and manage family finances, — noted First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Sardor Ismailov. — At the same time, our common capital is the state of the environment, the quality of water and air, so the Kapitalbank team regularly contributes to environmental stability in the country. I am glad that this area of our work has also been recognized, and for our team this is just the beginning.

— Technologies can and should work for the benefit of millions of people in the country, — says Uzum Chief Operating Officer Roman Lavrentyev. — We have built a huge infrastructure throughout the country to make the most advanced services and millions of goods available to people of all regions of Uzbekistan, and this infrastructure has become the basis for the implementation of our social projects, whether be it assistance to charitable foundations or environmental initiatives such as the project “Needed Like Air”.
