Kapitalbank and the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
15 Aug 2025

JSCB "Kapitalbank" and the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at the comprehensive development of corporate sports in the country. Kapitalbank has become the first company in Uzbekistan to formalize such a partnership. The main objective of this initiative is to establish a sustainable framework for sports programs that promote employee health, enhance team spirit, and boost staff motivation.

Kapitalbank is already a recognized leader in the field of corporate sports and continues to actively develop this area, further solidifying its position among the top corporate players in Uzbekistan. The bank's sports program encompasses a wide range of activities — from mass running events to e-sports tournaments — engaging hundreds of employees nationwide.

“We view corporate sports as a key element of our strategic HR policy. It is not just a motivational activity, but a systematic approach to employee well-being and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle,” said Kirill Maevskiy, Chairman of the Management Board of Kapitalbank.

As of today, the bank’s corporate marathon team is the largest in Uzbekistan, with around 500 participants. Moreover, the Kapitalbank Cyber Games e-sports championships are held quarterly for the second consecutive year. Corporate football tournaments are also organized regularly, involving teams from all regional branches.

“Our investments in sports initiatives are investments in employee health and in strengthening team spirit within the bank. We are committed to creating an environment where every employee can find a sport they enjoy,” noted Oksana Lyndina, Advisor to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

As part of the action plan developed jointly with the Corporate Sports Association, new initiatives are set to launch this year — including a table tennis championship, fitness assessments (similar to the GTO standards), and chess tournaments.
