
Pursuant to the applicable legislation, the Personal Identification Number of an Individual (Personal ID) is the unified individual identifier. Banks, payment operators and other institutions use it to keep records of their clients.

Below please find several guidelines facilitating clients to obtain and submit tidily their personal ID.
How to obtain the personal ID?
Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan natively receive a personal ID at obtaining of a biometric passport or ID card, where it is indicated as a 14-digit number. A citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan can also obtain own personal ID data through the Unified Portal of Interactive Government Services (My.gov.uz).
Online obtaining of a personal ID through the Unified State Information System (USIS) (My.gov.uz)
To get your personal ID data through the USIS:
- Access the service through the My.gov.uz website or download the MyGov app.
- Complete identification/authorization via the Face ID identification system.
- On the main page, go to your profile and click the “Digital Documents and Information” button.
- Select the “ID card/Passport” section.
- Turn the image and find out your personal ID.
Online obtaining of a personal ID for foreign citizens through the Unified Portal of Interactive Government Services (My.gov.uz) is not available without an electronic digital signature (EDS)! If you are a non-resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan, you can obtain your personal ID in one of the following ways.
Obtaining of a personal ID through the Consulates of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad
If you are outside the Republic of Uzbekistan, to obtain a personal ID, you need to personally contact the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the country of residence.
- Visit Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Show your passport.
- Complete an application form to obtain a personal ID.
- Pay the consular fee.
- Register your biometric data.
- Obtain your personal ID.
On the web-site of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation you can check the consular affiliation of your region. Before visit, we recommend to contact the Consulate General via the call center.
Obtaining of a personal ID at public service centers and the Department of Migration and Citizenship in Uzbekistan
A foreign citizen who is not a resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan, while in the territory of the Republic, can obtain a personal ID at a public services center or at the Department of Migration and Citizenship (DMC) – the so-called “passport office.”
To obtain a personal ID at a public services center or migration office, a foreign citizen who is not a resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan must personally present:
- Passport (original);
- Photo in e-format; Size - 3x4 on white background;
- A document confirming temporary registration at a hotel or at the host party’s address (when applying to the migration department).
After submission of an application, a non-resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall receive a personal ID within 2-4 business days.
How to present a personal ID?
You can present your personal ID data in two ways:
- in person at any branch of “Kapitalbank” JSCB;
- remotely via the Kapitalbank.Online mobile application.
Presentation of a personal ID at a bank branch
You can always visit any bank branch in person and provide your personal ID data.
- Contact the nearest bank branch.
- Take a ticket from the Electronic Queuing System.
- Show your passport/ID card.
- Present a document on temporary registration and a certificate of receipt of personal ID (for non-residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan).
- Submit an application for provision or renewal of personal ID.
- After acceptance of your application, the Bank operator will process your request on the spot, entering the changes into the system.
You can also submit the necessary documents to the bank through an authorized representative. To do this, it is necessary to execute a power of attorney at a notary office with a translation into the state (Uzbek) or Russian (if necessary) language.
Presentation of a personal ID via a mobile app
Kapitalbank.Online mobile app users can present or update their personal ID data remotely using the “One-Time Assignment” service. To do this:
- Log in to the Bank mobile app – Kapitalbank.Online.
- Select the “Services” section on the main page.
- Go to the “One-Time Transaction Assignments” section.
- Click the “Create an order” button and specify the task – to present or update your personal ID data.
Presentation and updating of a personal ID data in the Kapitalbank.Online mobile app is free!
If a bank has no personal ID?
If you have received a message from the bank about the necessity to update your personal ID, you need to promptly provide it.
If you do not provide your personal ID, all banking transactions will be restricted. You shall also not be able to use the Kapitalbank.Online app.
