Human resources for the digital economy
28 Jul 2020

Human resources education for the digital economy should be the area of focus for every higher education institution. Experts in the field of digital transformation offer the idea that education of the young professionals in reliance upon the methods, textbooks and manuals of the last century can do more harm than good to young people, hindering their development.

In new academic year the Banking and Finance Academy opens the specialty “Finance and Financial Technologies”. Project managers in the field of digitalization of banking and financial services will be educated on this specialty. New mobile applications and online services will spread through these experts.

With the aim of selecting more worthy applicants for master’s program, the Academy has withdrawn restrictions on age, basic education and experience in the industry. Specialists with basic education in information technology and mathematics are currently welcome here.

“Admission to the Academy is going on in the Case Championship format. Every day we receive hundreds of applications for participation, applicants are very curious, because in this way admission to the master’s program is being held for the first time in Uzbekistan”, - says Zafar Berdinazarov, Doctor of Economics, the Acting Vice-rector of the Banking and Finance Academy.

The management of the Academy attracted experts with rich practical experience from the USA, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Russia, Oman and other countries particularly for the participants of the Open Case Championship.

During the Case Championship, the participants will offer their solutions on topical issues, including:

  • opinion on financial institutions and banks in 2030;
  • techniques of ensuring economic growth and reducing inflation;
  • ways to raise the volume of the capital market up to 10% of the GDP;
  • ways of radical transformation of the tax system;
  • ensuring economic growth within the conditions of the pandemic.

During just the first week over 700 candidates have been registered on the website of the Banking and Finance Academy (qabul.bfa.uz). Let’s get acquainted with some of them:
